Choice Enrollment

Families who wish to enroll their student in a school other than their assigned neighborhood school must complete a Round one Choice Enrollment Application. (also available in paper form in the Kyffin front office, and in other languages). Applications for following school year. Students are accepted on a space available basis. Round one applications are prioritized through a lottery process. Waiting lists, which are prioritized, will be created if applicants exceed space available at the school. A separate application must be completed and submitted for each child. Open enrollment may affect athletic eligibility.

For attendance during the school year beginning Aug. 2019.

First Round Choice Enrollment  January 22 - February 8, 2019

Use EnrollJeffco to apply to your school of your choice, including kindergarten.

Mid-February: EnrollJeffco users that applied for schools (choice enrollment or preschool) will receive a notification indicating (1) an opportunity to accept an offer, or (2) information about wait list placement, for each school application. You have five days to accept an offer; only one offer may be accepted.

Choice enrolled students moving from elementary to middle school and middle to high school must submit a new Choice Enrollment Application.

If a student is not accepted at a school during the first round Choice Enrollment, the student will remain on the prioritized waitlist and be carried over to Second Round Choice Enrollment.
